To extend the battery life of your TomTom device, for example when using it outside the car, you can easily adjust the following settings.
In general, reducing screen brightness and volume can significantly extend battery life.
What How
Screen brightness: 50% Change preferences > Brightness preferences > Day colour brightness = 50% or lower
Volume: 30% Change preferences > Volume preferences > Volume = 30% or lower
* Bluetooth: OFF Change preferences > Bluetooth preferences > Disable Bluetooth
* Battery saving preferences: ON Change preferences > Battery saving preferences > Turn off screen between instructions
* FM Transmitter: OFF Change preferences > Speaker preferences > Select internal speaker for instructions & music
* Light sensor: OFF Change preferences > Brightness preferences > Deactivate both options at the bottom
* not available on all TomTom devices
